Dr. Lester Tapia
Founder of Arprovet
Dr. Lester Tapia is the Aprovet CEO -Founder. Dr. Tapia completed his first degree in Agronomy Sciences at the Universidad Nacional Agraria in Managua Nicaragua, and DVM at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Universidad Central de Nicaragua. He also completed his MS studies in clinic and Animal health at the Universidad Central de Nicaragua in partner with the Universidad Central de Las Villas, Santa Clara, Cuba. Throughout his studies he has volunteered and worked with several international veterinary organizations in Nicaragua and has trained Veterinarians and Veterinary students from all over Latin America, USA, Canada, Europe and Asia and has also trained hundreds of veterinarians and veterinary students over the past 8 years from all over Nicaragua. His passion for helping animals, veterinary education and sustainable development brought him to develop his own organization called Arprovet.
Dr. Tapia has travel to other Latin American countries such Paraguay, Ecuador, Honduras, Panama, Mexico to teach surgical techniques and safe anesthesia.
Waleska Manzanares RN
Veterinary Technician Student
Waleska is an RN. After practicing human medicine, she decided to start a new journey in Aprovet Nicaragua. Since 2019, she has been the clinic manager for Aprovet Managua. She loves interacting with all the pets and clients who come to the clinic. Currently she is training to become a Veterinary Nurse at the Latin American Technological Center for Veterinary studies.

Dr. Ricardo Herrera
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Herrera attended University of the West Leon and he has worked for Aprovet for 2 ½ years. His passion is surgery and being able to educate students and help them learn more about veterinary medicine.
Manuel Dumas
Certified Veterinary Assistant
Manuel is a certified veterinary assistant and graduated at the Latin American Center for Veterinary Students in Nicaragua. He is also a certified Ferrier, trained by the world horse welfare. During his free time, he likes to ride horses and play polo.
Dra. Eloisa Toledo
Veterinary Intern
Dra. Eloisa Toledo studied at the National Agrarian University. She has been working at Aprovet for a year and surgery is one of her passions. Her purpose in life is to be able to help and heal every patient who arrives at the clinic.
Dra. Maria Jose Flores Zeledon
Veterinary Intern
Dra. Maria attended National Agrarian University and has worked for Aprovet for a year. Maria loves working with all animals. Her favorite animals are cows and horses, but also loves cats and dogs.

Dr. Maynor Ramírez
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Maynor Ramírez was born orn in Leon, Nicaragua and attended the vet school at UNAN but completed his degree at UDO- Leon. He started working full time for Aprovet in May 2022. In his free time, he enjoys bike riding with his wife.
Dr. Arlin Javier Urbina Jarquin
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Arlin Javier Urbina Jarquin studied at the National Agrarian University. He has been working at Aprovet for about two years. Dr. Javier really enjoys surgery, but he finds it very gratifying to help animals and give them a new chance at life. His hobbies include spending time with his family, reading and playing soccer.
